Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes to ensure high product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  2. Manage and maintain SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues related to SMT production lines.
  4. Collaborate with design, quality assurance, and production teams to improve process reliability and yield.
  5. Develop and maintain process documentation, including setup procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  6. Perform process capability studies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Train operators and technicians on SMT process best practices and equipment handling.
  8. Monitor production metrics and generate reports for management review.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience at least 2 years working in SMT manufacturing or process engineering.
  3. Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes, equipment, and industry standards.
  4. Experience with SMT production tools such as solder paste inspection (SPI), automated optical inspection (AOI), and X-ray inspection systems.
  5. Ability to analyze and interpret technical data and implement corrective actions.
  6. Proficient in using process control and data analysis software.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong communication and teamwork abilities..
  9. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  10. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
  11. Knowledge of surface mount materials and soldering processes.
