Job Overview:

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing supplier quality, conducting technical analysis of incoming parts, and collaborating with suppliers to implement continuous improvements. This role involves supplier qualification, auditing, and managing corrective actions to ensure compliance with quality standards.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform technical analysis of incoming parts and communicate requirements with the SQE Executive for buyoff processes.
  2. Collaborate with suppliers for continuous improvement initiatives and lead corrective actions for 8D issues.
  3. Conduct supplier qualifications and periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards.
  4. Develop Quality Standards and Inspection Work Instructions to guide IQC inspectors during the incoming buyoff.
  5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for effective supplier management, reporting, and documentation updates.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or any equivalent fields.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in same role of Quality departments.
  3. Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
  4. Familiar with ISO9001, and ISO13485
  5. Good working knowledge of quality control standards or tools
  6. Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles.
  7. Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control methodologies.
  8. Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement tools.
  9. Strong ability to work cross-functionally and develop positive supplier relationships.
  10. Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency.
  11. Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  12. Strong communication skills to make progress reports and present the findings to the supervisor.
