Job Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development and execution of detailed test plans and procedures for consumer products, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software functions.
  2. Perform hands-on on-site testing, including setup, execution, data collection, and reporting of results.
  3. Maintain current knowledge of the latest testing tools and methods for mechanical, electrical, and software testing of consumer products.
  4. Assist in training operators on proper testing techniques and procedures.
  5. Contribute to ensuring tests meet industry standards such as IEC, UL, and CSA, including mechanical and electrical safety requirements.
  6. Assist in setting up test environments by defining requirements such as power, water, air supply, and workspace layout.
  7. Conduct tests to verify product performance across multiple systems, particularly for home appliances.
  8. Assist in building and maintaining test setups and stations, including equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
  9. Provide adaptable support on assigned tasks and projects, responding to evolving priorities and team needs.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in product safety testing and regulatory compliance for consumer products, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical testing.
  3. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in testing and product compliance are encouraged to apply.
  4. Proven ability in technical problem-solving and configuring machinery for various test scenarios.
  5. Experience with various test types, including performance testing, usability testing, noise measurement, and environmental testing (vibration, heat, humidity).
  6. Hands-on experience testing components such as motors, batteries, and heating elements, and ensuring electrical safety, is a strong plus.
  7. Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  8. Proficient in utilizing measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
