Job Responsibilities:

  1. Drive cross-disciplinary innovation by integrating thermal and fluid technologies into advanced product platforms, fostering new ideas from early concept to final implementation.
  2. Collaborate across functions—mechanical, electronics, software, and manufacturing—to ensure seamless system-level integration, performance, and manufacturability.
  3. Develop and optimize system performance using simulation tools (e.g., CFD, thermal modelling) and structured experimental validation.
  4. Lead flow path and subsystem design to improve aerodynamic efficiency, noise characteristics, and thermal control across a range of products, not limited to turbomachinery.
  5. Design intelligent systems by integrating sensors, control algorithms, and feedback loops in coordination with controls and electronics teams.
  6. Develop and integrate heater and cooling technologies for various applications, considering power efficiency, safety, and user experience.
  7. Translate test data into design improvement by analyzing failures, extracting insights, and iterating on prototypes for robust performance.
  8. Define and own performance metrics from early-stage development through to mass production, ensuring solutions meet business and user expectations.
  9. Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies through design reviews, FMEA, and rapid prototyping cycles.
  10. Contribute to platform development and technology roadmaps, proposing new opportunities and supporting long-term strategy alignment.
  11. Support DFM, DFA, and cost engineering efforts by working closely with manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams.
  12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing internal simulation/test capabilities, promoting learning, and mentoring team members.

Job Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or a related field is required.
  2. Experience in thermal engineering is required, often requiring at least 2 years of industry experience.
  3. Ability to identify and solve thermal and fluid-related challenges in product design or system performance.
