Job Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in new tooling and product development.
  2. Plan and organize tooling based on project and customer requirements.
  3. Coordinate with mold makers on scheduling and resolving tooling design issues.
  4. Evaluate design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
  5. Prepare and update tooling progress reports regularly.
  6. Develop new tooling project plans.
  7. Collaborate with injection molding and process/technical teams to resolve tooling problems.
  8. Oversee overall department functions.
  9. Manage tooling buy-off and transfer from customers.
  10. Submit Tooling Transfer Notification Forms (TTNF) to customers.
  11. Collaborate with the Planning and Project teams for weekly tool trials.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent. (Or “or related field” if applicable)
  2. Thorough understanding of tooling functions.
  3. Strong management skills and computer literate.
  4. A solid team player with excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to lead and supervise a team of Engineers.
  6. Experience with engineering tooling and molding processes.
  7. Preferably 5 years of tooling-related work experience.
