Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for conducting feasibility studies, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business applications like MES, IT automation, and Business Intelligence (BI) software.
  2. Responsible for troubleshooting MES-related network issues, production workstations, testers, and IoT devices.
  3. Conduct research on new technologies and develop feasible IT solutions to meet business requirements.
  4. Perform basic setting configuration, error debugging, and internal enhancement testing for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  5. Familiarity with MES database queries for extracting analyzable data based on system and user requirements.
  6. Required to work closely with system key users and cross-functional teams to deploy MES and IT automation solutions.
  7. Support the commissioning and testing of shop floor equipment and its integration with MES and other systems.
  8. Coordinate with various departments to gather business requirements and liaise with vendors on system technical support.
  9. Prepare documentation and presentation slides for proposed MES and IT Automation solutions.
  10. Assist in developing a detailed project plan template that can be replicated for each MES implementation.
  11. Provide second-level support for MES-related incidents. Train the operations team to adequately support incidents observed on the line during and/or after office hours.
  12. Proactively monitor system performance to identify abnormalities and develop capabilities to prevent unscheduled downtime.
  13. Implement Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) to enhance existing MES and IT Automation services and processes.
  14. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HOD/IT Director from time to time.
  15. Ability to effectively multi-task and handle a high volume of requests, specifically unplanned/unscheduled requests.
  16. Independent individual with good time management skills for own tasks and deliverables.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the IT field.
  3. Good knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and hardware/software systems.
  4. Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  5. Familiarity with MES systems.
  6. Good analytical and problem-solving skills (troubleshooting and debugging).
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  8. Good multitasking abilities.
  9. Experience with C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and MSSQL.
  10. Experience with MSSQL database server management.
