By 2009, MBG had outgrown its initial operations and expanded into a 70,000 square foot plant with a workforce of 360 employees. This period was marked by a surge in growth and innovation. Datuk Lee’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology was evident with the introduction of knitting conductive brush and overmould technology, showcasing MBG’s drive to lead the market with cutting-edge solutions.

The company’s diversification into injection moulding processes and brush assembly also underscored the company’s core value which is a forward-thinking approach to innovation. MBG continued to strengthen its operational capabilities, always with a focus on sustainable and efficient manufacturing processes. “Innovation is at the heart of what we do,” Datuk Lee emphasised during this period. “But innovation must also consider the impact we leave on the world—it’s about creating better products and a better future.”

To further cement its leadership in the manufacturing industry, MBG established a Research and Development (R&D) department, along with Project Management, to drive the company’s innovation agenda. This period saw the introduction of supply chain management to enhance operational efficiency, as well as the company’s expansion into sub-assembly of household appliances.

Process automation and IT management also became significant focus areas, helping to improve productivity and ensure quality control.
