The Purchasing Executive/Officer is responsible for the day-to-day sourcing, negotiating, and procuring non-production/production goods and services required to support day-to-day business & manufacturing operations. This role supports the Procurement Department in vendor management, purchase order processing, and cost control while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for direct/indirect goods and services such as office supplies, marketing services, IT solutions, utilities, and more.
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers/vendors; obtain and compare quotations to ensure best value for price, quality, and delivery lead time.
  • Build and manage relationships with service providers and vendors, ensuring their performance meets company expectations.
  • Conduct a formal sourcing process to evaluate supplier proposals based on cost, reliability, and value-added services.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and compliance with company requirements.
  • Work closely with various internal departments (IT, HR, RDD, marketing, Production, etc.) to understand their needs and source appropriate solutions.
  • Actively seek opportunities to reduce costs through competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, and identifying efficiencies in the sourcing process.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or procurement experience are encouraged to apply.
  3. Understanding of manufacturing materials, Bill of Materials (BOM), and production planning cycles is an advantage.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  5. Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously.
