Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and improve PCBA processes, including soldering, component placement, and inspection.
  2. Collaborate with design and quality teams to review PCB layouts for manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve assembly defects and process-related issues.
  4. Maintain and optimize assembly line equipment and tools to maximize throughput and minimize defects.
  5. Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve product quality.
  6. Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.
  7. Support prototype builds and new product introductions (NPI).
  8. Train production staff on PCBA best practices and safety procedures.
  9. Monitor production metrics and generate reports to support continuous improvement efforts.
  10. Compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

 

Job Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Has experience in PCBA process engineering or assembly operations.
  3. Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes including SMT, through-hole soldering, reflow, and wave soldering.
  4. Experience with quality standards such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
  5. Proficient with inspection equipment and techniques including AOI, X-ray, and functional testing.
  6. Familiar with failure analysis methods and tools.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  9. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  10. Knowledge of PCB design tools and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
  11. Familiarity with ERP and MES systems.
